About the Maxey’s

Mission

The focus of David and Inga Maxey’s ministry is to bear witness to the gospel of God’s grace by the power of the Holy Spirit. God has called them to be ambassadors of righteousness, grace, and faith to the nation of Russia. They have been empowered by the Holy Spirit to teach the Word of God and make disciples of Christ as the senior pastors of “Fountain of Life Church” in the Far Eastern city of Khabarovsk, Russia.

History

David first traveled to Russia at the age of 17. He lived and ministered for three years in the frozen region of Chukotka, Russia across the Bering Strait from Nome Alaska. He settled in Inga’s home town – Provideniya. During this time, David lived with a Russian family and learned to speak the Russian language. It was in Chukotka that David and Inga met and fell in love. Together they ministered in and attended a church pastored by missionaries Joe and Mary Purcell. After their engagement, David returned to America to attend Rhema Bible Training Center. After they were married on March 30, 1997, Inga joined David at Rhema to complete one year of training herself, while David graduated from the two-year pastoral program in 1998. In 1999 they returned to Russia, where they currently reside and minister in the city of Khabarovsk, to assist the Purcell’s. From 1999- 2004 David and Inga worked alongside the Purcell’s in “Fountain of Life Church” in the capacity of youth ministers, supportive ministry overseers, small group leaders, and associate pastors.

In May of 2004, Joe and Mary Purcell were led of the Spirit to relocate their ministry to the island nation of Singapore in order to more effectively minister to the continent of Asia. They chose David and Inga to take their place as senior pastors of “Fountain of Life Church”. David and Inga were ordained as the senior pastors of “Fountain of Life Church” on April 11, 2004.

God has blessed David and Inga with three beautiful children. The first child whom God gave to the Maxeys is their daughter – Diana Marie Maxey who was born on the 26th of March 2002. The next to come along was Michael David Maxey born on January 24th, 2005. Last, but not least, Meghan Elizabeth Maxey was born on the 18th of July, 2007.

Place of Ministry:

The Maxeys live in the city of Khabarovsk in the Russian Far East. Strategically situated as the governmental center of the Russian Far East and within 50 miles of the northeastern border of China, Khabarovsk has a population of about 700,000. It is a center of learning that draws students from all over the region to attend a variety of universities and institutes that are located there. It is a major railroad hub on the Trans-Siberian line and boasts both international and domestic airports. Not to mention the fact that Khabarovsk is situated on the banks of the one of the world’s mightiest rivers – the Amur, which provides fishing and shipping. Statistics have shown that Khabarovsk is one of the most expensive cities in Russia, in third place just behind Moscow and St. Petersburg.
